Learning to Play - Terrain List Building

Welcome back to the Learning to Play series! I got several questions after posting my Latari list (that you can read about here and see played here) asking what terrain I planned to take with my list and how this impacted my list building. As of right now, I am still trying to figure out exactly what terrain I want to include with my the list, but I do have a general idea about what I want the terrain to do for my list, so I thought I would go ahead and share my thoughts on this and the various terrain I am considering. First however, I will be referencing most of the terrain by name. If you are not familiar with specific terrain features, the Runewars wiki has proved to be quite a valuable resource, and you can find all of the terrain, as well as the related FAQ and other important rules related to terrain, here. So, with that all being said, let's jump into it!

Battle Report 1: Latari vs. Daqan

Welcome to the first Battle Report here at Impact 3! This game featured my Latari list featured in the previous Learning to Play article that can be found here up against Sondra, one of our local shop owners piloting Daqan. Sondra is one of the two people who introduced me to the game and who is to blame for getting me sucked into it. Learning to Play - Latari List Building

Welcome back to Impact 3! In my first article of the Learning to Play series, I wanted to discuss the list building process I went through for my current Latari list. My goal in list building right now, with Regionals coming up in the next couple months, is to find a list that I like and stick to it (or something similar) so that I have the muscle memory down and comfort with the list when I head off to compete at Regionals. Howdy everyone!

This is Impact 3! A new Runewars Miniatures Game resource where I plan to have regular content covering several different aspects of the game from following my journey as I learn to play to battle reports and strategy articles. However, before jumping into any of that, I wanted to take the time to introduce myself in this first article, discuss why you should bother reading anything I write, and what to expect in the future.
